Originally from Northern Ontario, Kathleen has lived and worked in cities across the US and Canada as an ICU nurse.
Her interest in art was rekindled after relocating to Toronto.
“I have always been enchanted by city life. The lights, the reflections of movement, the hum of extremes. Recently I discovered a way to express this fascination. Toronto has proven to be the catalyst in this discovery.”
“I paint to slow things down.” Working with acrylics, she attempts to capture memories of an ever changing city. Using a brush and palette knife allows her to convey a feeling of being “drawn into an experience”. Photos taken on walks around the city offer a reference for her art.
